Involved in the development of the first four recombinant protein drugs ever made. C-level exposure and experience over the past 10 years. Post-doctorate and Ph.D. from MIT, Cambridge, MA and KTH, Stockholm, Sweden.

Over 25 years of experience in biologics process development. Founded Biologics Process Development, Inc. in Poway/San Diego, which was acquired by Intas Biopharmaceuticals in 2008, and subsequently by Viropro. Successful contract services and operations with top-tier repeat clients from pharma and biopharma companies over a period of 12 years. Post-doctorate and Ph.D. from UCLA.

Dr. Carl Edwards III

A World-Class Immunologist with over 20 years of experience conducting and leading drug discovery and development efforts in Inflammation, Autoimmune, and Cytokine Biology. Formerly Head of Global Project Team at Amgen for the development of Pegsunercept, a PEGylated, soluble form (p55) of a TNFa receptor antagonist. Has successfully navigated several innovative proteins and small molecule products through Phase IIc studies.

Over 30 years experience in the securities industry with the last 10 years specifically in financial engineering, corporate restructuring, and market compliance. Has successfully structured millions of dollars of financing for several Canadian listed companies. Graduated in Economics from Laval University and holds the title of Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (F.C.S.I.).

Marketing, sales, and business development experience gained at pharma majors such as Johnson & Johnson and Schering-Plough, where he built, headed, and managed large, national-level marketing and sales teams. MBA from Pepperdine University with over 20 years of experience in the US pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Over 10 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience covering scientific, legal and business aspects of the industry. Founded and ran a company dedicated to biosimilars development and out-licensing. Diverse skill set covering project management, business development, strategic planning, market research and communications.

Over 20 years of Research and Development experience in a broad array biotechnology-related scientific topics. 8+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience covering protein-based biotherapeutics development and characterization, methods development and qualification. Exposure to project management, business, IP, legal, financial and strategic management.
